Art Ball

 

The Spring 2016 Art Ball will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 13. Scheduled events include:

  • Reception for graduating seniors and graduate students in the Kadema Hall Breezeway.

  • Senior Show Exhibition in the Robert Else and R.W. Witt Galleries.

  • Embodying, Master of Arts in Studio Art Exhibition by Chelsea Thompto, held in the University Library Annex Gallery.

  • Printmaking students (Art 40D & 145) will have their works displayed in the Kadema Hallways display cases, as well as in their classroom, Kadema 104.

  • Jewelry & Small Metals students will have their works displayed in their classroom, Kadema 160.

  • Ceramic students will have their work displayed and for purchase in Kadema Corridor, between the ceramic classrooms KDM 101 and KDM 131.

  • Beginning & Intermediate Drawing students will have their works on display in Kadema 268.

  • Art 22 painting students will have their on display in Kadema 107.

  • Appropriation & Photo Identity, project by Art 7 students on display in Kadema 145.

  • Art Education virtual exhibition of studentsí artwork in the Kadema Hall conference room, #184 (across from the Art office).

  • Hostage, installation project by Art 187 students to be performed in the Art Sculpture Lab (ASL) yard.

  • Sculpture student work on display in Art Sculpture Lab (ASL) 110.

  • Intermediate & Upper Division Painting student exhibit in Art Sculpture Lab (ASL) 106 & 108 featuring work from Figure Drawing, Life Painting & Advanced Painting courses.

  • Art Studios open in Art Sculpture Lab (ASL) upper floor.

  • New Media Art student exhibit in Mariposa 1007 and Kadema 266.

Co-sponsored by the Art Chapter of the Sacramento State Alumni Association.

The Art Ball also will have refreshments, music, parade, and various receptions.

Admission to all events is free and open to the public. Please email the Art Department's coordinator, Ruth Hansen (ruth.hansen@csus.edu), to request a free parking permit for this evening's festivities.
