Major Requirements
The following outlines are lower and upper division coursework required for the Special Major in Dietetics. All required prerequisites should be fulfilled before advancing to the next course within a sequence. A grade of C- or better must be earned for a course to be considered as fulfilling a prerequisite requirement for all FACS courses. Students must still complete 9 units of upper division GE courses out of
their major.
A minimum grade of C- is required for prerequisite courses within and outside
the department.
Students who have a FACS course twice must petition the department’s
curriculum committee in writing for permission to register for a third time. Students will not be allowed to take the course a third time without
committee approval.

Many
FACS courses have prerequisites. It is important that any prerequisites be
completed with a C- or better, prior to enrolling in a course. General education, major and
all-university requirements is a four to five year program of study.
