Food And Nutrition Club
Many dietetic students hold elected offices and/or actively participate in the Food & Nutrition Club (FAN), which is sponsored by the FACS Department. The FAN Club participates in nutrition and food education, fundraising events, health fairs, the annual CSUS open house, and sponsors guest lectures who are professionals and/or alumni in the dietetics, nutrition and/or foods fields. Student have an opportunity to interact with peers and faculty to discuss academic and professional issues. FAN Club members are often also members of the American Dietetic Association, California Dietetic Association, and the Golden Empire District (local dietetics chapter), and participate in Sacramento area professional activities.
