CSUS Scholarship Information
There are several scholarships available
for Family and Consumer Sciences Majors. Below you will find
links to various FACS scholarships.
M. Catherine Starr Scholarship
Dr. Starr was the first department chair and teacher
educator for our department. Contributions for this
scholarship have been made primarily by the alumni and
faculty members. The scholarship is offered annually
in the amount of $500 to one full-time undergraduate student.
The Textiles, Clothing and Merchandising
Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is offered every semester to one
full-time junior or senior, or graduate student in the
concentration of Apparel, Marketing and Design with a
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The Gail Landes Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is offered in memory of one of
our CSUS graduates. It was established through
contributions from Gail's family and professional
colleagues. It is administered by the Northern Central
District and is available only for students attending
California State University, Sacramento.
The River City Quilter's Guild Scholarship
This scholarship is available to CSUS students how have
demonstrated an interest in quilting, textiles or the
application to these interests to apparel
merchandising/marketing.
The Shalita and Helen Blackburn Scholarship
This $500 is offered to students in the Family and Consumer Sciences area that meet the listed requirements found in the following link.
