Several faculty have had international experiences which enhance the global approach to the study of families and consumers. Faculty represent all areas of study, thereby helping students to integrate the study of Family and Consumer Sciences as they prepare for professional careers or graduate study.

Areas of research: Effect of diet on risk factors for chronic disease, dietary risk factors for heart disease in Asian countries, mechanisms of dietary fat in the non-fasting state (post-prandial lipemia) and heart disease risk.

Areas of interest: Developing nutritional data base for Asian countries, motivation and compliance with dietary guidelines.
